Introduction about the Authors

This website is started by J and K, people who are both passionate about commodities.  They met each other while studying at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School majoring in Banking & Finance.

J has been investing in commodities since 2009 on his own.  It started out when J was just looking into adding some diversification inside his investment portfolio of equities and bonds.  When the returns from the commodities investments were less volatile and the returns were higher than his equities and bonds, J took a second look at commodities as more than a tool of diversification and was convinced that commodities is the ideal asset class to invest in.

Meanwhile K has been working as a Commodities Trader since 2008, dealing in the physical and future trading of commodities via the London Metal Exchange, specialising in Base Metals.  His other responsibilities include client liaison and management of market risk in metal derivative contracts.  He also holds a CAIA (Charted Alternative Investment Analyst)

The purpose of this website is to increase awareness about commodities trading in Singapore, and serve as a place to gather investors, who have similar interests as the authors, to meet and discuss about commodities trading.
